According to the widely acclaimed
academician and educationist Richard Livingston “Education is a
process which cures the society of all basic ills. Its objective is to
inculcate high moral ideals in students to strengthen the virtues of
mankind.” Navodaya Vidyalaya are set up all over India by Ministry of
Human Resource Development, Government of India under the National Policy
of Education 1986 with this motto.
Being fully residential in
nature JNV is providing ample opportunity to its students to polish their
potentialities to sparkle and to climb to the pinnacle of success. The very
concept of Gurukul prevalent in the ancient Indian society has now found a
place in the campus of Navodaya where the teachers and students get the
opportunity to live together round the clock. JNV, Tudipaju, Phulbani,
Orissa started functioning with 64 students in its first batch on 10th Dec.
1986. After shifting to the permanent site the school has developed into a
beautiful campus.
